Gambling is the act of placing wagers or bids on an event whose probability is unknown. One’s taking to gambling depends entirely on his or perception on gambling activities as a whole and it takes time for one to form an objective opinion. As it stands there are individuals out there that have taken up to gambling as a career and they are living very fulfilling lives. For others, it may represent a form of glamorous lifestyle, a hobby, or even an unforgivable sin.

Why gamble?

For individuals that the education system has not taken to or vice versa, gambling provides an opportunity for them to make an “honest” living. The basic application of gambling requires little bit of common sense and the rest is luck. Gambling is usually 50-50 game with odds staked either way. Also, start up capital is not substantial on top of the fact that there are individuals out there that are willing to lend one cash for gambling. For one to prosper in the gambling business, there are a few basic rules that must be endeared to;

Quit while you are ahead

This is basically the Holy Grail in gambling circles. An individual to tell when it is time to quit i.e. when they have earned as much as they can from a venture. Though it may be hard to tell when you are ahead, always try to listen to that little voice in your head telling you to quit now! This is basically about taking note and acting on your gut feeling.

The “house” always wins.

The house in this case may refer to a casino. In this concept, one is advised never to try to play against the house. Your sole aim should always be to win and once you have attained this goal you should quit. Playing against the house, no matter how good you are always leads to one inevitability, you losing. Despite the fact that you may be given the best casino bonuses, always take note that this is only a tactic to lure you back for your eventual loss. Generally, the stakes are usually heavily staked in favor of the house and there may also be cases of cheating or rigging by the house.

Selling a bluff

To ensure that one is gambling efficiently they should have the right mind set and should know that it is basically what you see is what you get. The key mainly applied to gambling with class once one has control of them self and the situation is the lie. It is not only about the bluff but also the general building of confidence around the bluff. Unfortunately, this skill cannot be taught but has to be acquired over time.  However, some of the basic attributes that’s that one can you to identify a good from a bad liar all come as a bulk i.e. all are physically in nature. They include eyes, smile, hair, dress code etc. One should be able to discern which sort of posture or expression can sell him or her. Ideally, one should be cold as stone to sell the bluff.
